For 135 years, The Salvation Army has served Kenosha County through programs that provide spiritual guidance, food, clothing, housing assistance, school supplies, and Christmas gifts for children. In 2025 alone, they are on track to distribute 14,055 emergency food boxes and toys for 1,021 children in the Kenosha County community. The annual Red Kettle campaign is critical to funding these services.
Severe winter weather has significantly impacted the Red Kettle collections. To date, they are $62,685 short of our $135,000 goal. And $86,833 short of the overall $292,000 Christmas target.
The Salvation Army urgently needs community support. Local businesses and restaurants can help by hosting a red kettle from December 24 through January 2. Kettles will be placed on stands without bell ringers in visible locations. All participating businesses will be recognized on the Kenosha County Salvation Army Facebook page. If your business would like to participate, please get in touch with the Salvation Army via their Facebook page.

About The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army’s mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination, which we do across the country at 6,400 service centers. We assess the needs of each community in which we serve with the goal of understanding the obstacles, hardships, and challenges the community faces. We then build local programs designed to offer immediate relief, short-term care, and long-term growth that will best benefit the community and all who seek our help. From there, we work to continually optimize their efficacy via spiritual, physical, and emotional services.
