Meet & Greet with Silvia Acevedo

Stop by Blue House Books on Saturday, September 20th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to meet Wisconsin author Silvia Acevedo and her husband, illustrator Jeff Miracola, for the release of Mail-Order Monsters: Crash Course. This middle-grade fantasy blends humor with lessons on friendship and forgiveness, perfect for young readers! Silvia and Jeff will be chatting with customers and signing books throughout the event. TOURIST SEASON

Pre-Release Party: Join us for a pre-release party for Brynne Weaver’s Tourist Season, the first book in the Seasons of Carnage Trilogy, on Monday, September 22nd at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $34 and include a signed bookplate, hardcover copy (available one day before the official publication date), character cards, a crossword puzzle, postcards, and stickers. Boozy Bookfair at Kenosha Tap House for the Kenosha Literacy Council

Blue House Books brings the Bookmobile to Kenosha Tap House on Thursday, September 25th, from 5 to 8 p.m. for a nostalgic, adult-friendly book fair supporting the Kenosha Literacy Council! Find new releases, local authors, top sellers, games, and gift items – all while enjoying food and drinks from the Tap House. Plus, 10% of sales from Blue House Books and Kenosha Tap House will be donated to the literacy council. Event info can be found here.
Daphne Draws Data

Children’s Story Time & STEM Activity: Get ready for a hands-on learning adventure on Tuesday, September 30th from 4 to 5:30 p.m. as Daphne Draws Data helps kids develop their data-drawing superpowers! Families will enjoy a reading and guided graphing activity led by Jody from Storytelling with Data, blending reading, math, and problem-solving skills.
