Valentino Spizzirri, 93, of Kenosha, WI, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center Kenosha, surrounded by his family.
He was born May 10, 1931, in Marano Marchesato, Province of Cosenza, Italy, the son of the late Mariano and Giuseppina (Conforti) Spizzirri. He moved to the United States when he was 17 years old.
On May 2, 1959, he married Geraldine “Geri” Hetchler at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
Valentino worked as an assembler for AMC Chrysler until his retirement in 1989. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, and the Local 72. He enjoyed doing yardwork, spending time with his family and friends; and traveling in his younger years up north and to Arizona.
Survivors include his wife Geri Spizzirri of Kenosha, WI; three children, Michael, Gino, and Diane; six grandchildren, Robert, Jason, Katie, Steven, David, and Tina; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Judith Lutz and Maria Spizzirri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings, Giacomo “Jack” Spizzirri, Bellina Macrito, and Eva Belmonte.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Proko Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
