Thomas P. Iorio, 73 years old, lifelong resident of Kenosha, WI passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Froedtert & MCW, Wauwatosa, WI with his family by his side.
He was born July 23, 1951, in Kenosha, WI the son of the late Dominick and Ann (Parola) Iorio. On October 9, 1982, Tom married the love of his life, Joan Guido at St. Peter Catholic Church, Kenosha, WI.
Tom worked as a meat cutter for over 30 years, during that time he also owned Iorio’s Market. He later worked in security, and retired from Abbott Laboratories in Illinois.
His true passion was music; Tom was a talented singer and musician, who played as many as six different instruments. He played in many local bands, most notably, The Chevelles, The Classics and The Doo Wop Daddies. He also loved making homemade sausage and in his younger years, he played community softball. He will always be remembered for his kindness and wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Joan; daughter, Katherine Iorio; a sister, Patricia (Walter) Vincent; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen (James) Martin, Silvana (Kim Grasser) Guido, and Patricia (Mark) Naidicz; numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many dear friends and bandmates.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Proko Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 noon on Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church, Kenosha, WI and entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum, Pleasant Prairie, WI. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association, in his memory.
