Thomas Jason Sater, age 64, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away on June 25th, 2026. He was born on May 5th, 1962, in Bloomington, Indiana, the oldest of 4 children to Milton and Sandra Sater of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Over 45 years ago, he met his wife Sherry while attending Florida College, and they married on June 18th, 1983, recently celebrating their 43rd wedding anniversary. Tom graduated with honors from Indiana University, taking up a career in finance before retiring early to spend time with his wife, friends, and family, including his two grandchildren, and to spend time fully dedicated to shepherding at the Green Bay Road church in Kenosha. He was creative and ambitious and loved to explore his talents, spanning teaching the Bible, song leading, painting, playing trumpet and bass, construction projects, fishing, and many other pursuits.
Tom obeyed the gospel in 1973 and faithfully served God until his passing, at various times serving as a deacon and for the past 16 years as a shepherd at the church in Kenosha. Though he unquestionably loved his family and his church, his passion for his family and friends was unrivaled by his passion for and love of God, and he dedicated himself to serving God and the church with everything he had.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sherry Sater (Diestelkamp); their three sons: Adam (Holly) Sater and their children, Jackson and Garland; Joshua (Rachel) Sater; and David Sater; his brother, Michael (Cathy) Sater; his sister, Cheryl (Paul) Adams; and his parents, Milton and Sandra Sater. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Proko Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Friday.
