Susan M. DeMicchi, 73, of Kenosha, WI, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI.

She was born April 18, 1950, in Racine, WI, the daughter of the late Michael and Marie (Adamek) Wasik. She attended local schools and graduated from Horlick high school in Racine in 1968. She went on to work as an insurance agent for American Family Insurance for over 25 years prior to her retirement in 1997. On April 17, 1971, she married Ted DeMicchi at St. Michaels in Racine, WI.

Susan was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion David Leet Post 552 in Somers, WI, and served as secretary since 1983. She had a soft spot for her animals and a huge heart for all animals. Susan loved to travel, gamble and shop.

Susan is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ted; brother, Mike Wasik, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Sue Wasik Deguire.

A committal service will be held for Susan at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street Union Grove, WI 53182, on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish, may make contributions to Westosha Veterinary Hospital – Attn to Samantha Adamik, 26851 – 75 Street, Salem, WI 53168 in her memory.
