Sharon Sue Dandurand, age 89, of Racine, passed away at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie on October 16th, 2024. She was born on April 13th, 1935, in Niles, Michigan where she started her family and later moved to Kenosha, then Racine and stayed until the time of her death.
She was a librarian assistant at Southport Elementary School for many years, and enjoyed it immensely, especially when her children were students. Sharon was known by many as a bright smiling face getting their breakfast early in the morning in the drive through at McDonald’s on Sheridan Road. She was cherished by her family, and she especially loved her role as a grandmother and great grandmother. Her children will always remember the Big Star trips with mom for lunch.
Sharon is survived by her children: George L. Dandurand, Jerry Dandurand, and Christina Milburn, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a sister Barbara, and daughter-in-law Tracy Clark. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband: George Dandurand, sons: Kevin Dandurand and Vincent Dandurand, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
The family would like to give their most sincere thanks to the entire staff at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie but especially the 3rd floor critical care unit and ICU staff. They will never forget the compassion and care they showed mom and all their thoroughness and tireless effort during her final days.
Services for Sharon will be held at Kemper Center Founder’s Hall on Wednesday October 23rd, at 1 P.M. A visitation will take place at Kemper from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Burial at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery to follow the services.
