Ronald J. Faber, 88, of Wilmot, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, surrounded by family. Ron was born on March 6, 1938, to Reinald and Rose (Hilbert) Faber. He was united in marriage to Margaret “Peg” Timmer at Holy Name Catholic Church in Wilmot on June 3, 1961, where they began a lifelong partnership built on love, family, and faith. From a young age, Ron worked alongside his father and uncles in carpentry, learning the craftsmanship and strong work ethic that would guide him throughout his life. He later founded Ron Faber Construction and took great pride in the many homes he built across southeastern Wisconsin. Ron and Peg shared a home built by Ron, where they spent their entire married life together creating cherished family memories.
Ron lived a life centered around family, hard work, and the outdoors. He had a passion for baseball, softball, football, hunting, fishing, and playing cards. Above all else, Ron treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and joy in his life.
He will be remembered by his children: Mark (Lori) Faber of Burlington, Wisconsin; John (Jeri) Faber of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin; and Karen Rudd of Kettering, Ohio; and by his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas (Katie) Faber, Cody (Maddie) Faber, Zachary Faber, Kyle Faber, Luke Rudd, and Abby Rudd. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Ryan, sister Cheryl Nichols, and, most recently, his brother, Ralph Faber.
Funeral Services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Friday, May 15, 2026, at Holy Cross Church, 30100 Wilmot Rd., Wilmot, WI 53192, with visitation beginning at 9:30 am at the church.
