Ronald Bruno Prankus, 74 years old of Kenosha, WI, formerly Chicago, IL passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at his home.
He was born November 7, 1948, in Chicago, IL the son of the late Bruno and Pauline (Blazis) Prankus. He lived in Chicago most of his life, where he worked for City Chevrolet for many years, and retired from the City of Chicago after 15 years. He was also a member of the Mechanics Union Local #701. He married Irene Brickacek in Chicago in 1983 and she preceded him in death in 2016.
Ron’s interests included building and flying model airplanes, and working on cars, especially classics. He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and enjoyed sweets from Weber’s Bakery on Archer Avenue.
Survivors include his children, Ronald (Wendi) Prankus of Chicago, and Becky (Brandon) White of Kenosha, WI; grandchildren, Lucas and Lucille Prankus, his beloved granddogs, Milo and Ferdinand; and many extended relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Proko Funeral Home. Services with military honors will commence at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to ASPCA, in Ron’s memory.
