Robert Fonfara, 61, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on May 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at home.
Robert was born on November 27, 1964, in Kenosha, WI, the son of the late Jerome and Amey (Lehmann) Fonfara. He was a graduate of Bradford High School in Kenosha. Robert married Maria Fish, the love of his life, on June 20, 2020, in Kenosha. He was a delivery supervisor for Keurig/Dr. Pepper, formerly known as American Bottling Company, has been around for over 25 years. He was also a part-owner of A & J Collectibles with his parents. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. His hobbies included playing baseball, shooting pool, playing golf, cheering for the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers, visiting craft brewing companies, taking long scenic walks, but most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family. He loved all of his little critters outside that he took care of. He loved the squirrels and the blue jays the most.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Fonfara of Mt. Pleasant; son, Karl (Kayla) Langenstroer of Madison; sister, Barbara Axtell of Greensboro, NC; niece, Jamie Axtell of Greensboro, NC; also included are many cousins.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Amey (Lehmann) Fonfara, and James Axtell (Brother-in-law).
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Bob’s dear friend, Kenny Knapp, for all the endless support and time given in helping to care for Bob. We also want to say thank you to Hospice Alliance and their nurse, Tina, for their love and support during this difficult time.
