Robert John Popp Jr., 76, of Kenosha passed away on April 2, 2023, in the loving arms of his family.
Robert (Bob), was born on January 20, 1947, in Kenosha. He was the son of the late Robert Popp Sr. and Armeda (Roth) Popp. He was educated in Kenosha and went on to serve in the United States Army. Bob joined Joyce Steckbauer in marriage on July 14, 1973.
Bob worked throughout the Color Printing Industry for the majority of his career, until joining the T.S.A. working in airport security until his retirement in December of 2012. Prior to his career, he was a Veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country for four years. Bob’s hobbies included Hunting, Fishing, Golfing, Baseball and Softball, playing cards with family and friends; but most of all, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, along with his children Shonda (Angelo) Gagliano and Kenneth Popp. In addition to immediate family he is survived by Timothy (Sue) Popp, Anne (Michael) Coshun, Patricia (Robert) Hale, Aaron Popp, Julie (Donald Roberts) Popp, Mari (Dominic) Aulozzi, John (Mary) Popp & Suzanne (Johnny) Castaneda. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Isabella Popp, Caleb Popp and Trace Zamiska. He was preceded in death by his parents, two nephews (Alexander Castaneda & Todd Popp) and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Children Hospital would be of great appreciation as it was Bob’s favorites charity. A memorial will be set for a later date.
