Robert H. Holt, 48, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, surrounded by his family and friends. Upon his death, Robert was able to donate many of his organs to recipients in immediate need of transplant.
Born in Waukegan, IL, he was the son of the late Thomas Holt and Beverly (Winters) Taylor. He was educated in local schools.
Robert was employed at Midwest Refrigeration Services. He enjoyed music, traveling, the Chicago Bears and Cubs, riding his Harley, playing darts, and going on adventures with his grandkids. He was a volunteer for Taste of WI through the Kiwanis of Southeastern Wisconsin and was a volunteer at Safe Harbor Human Society where he fostered and adopted many pets. His rescue dogs: Stella, Penny, Roxy, Olive, and Ruby; and his rescue cats: Simba, Brody, and Taffy; will miss his cuddles.
Survivors include his life partner: Leona Turnquist; three children: Cheyenne (Guillermo Sanchez) Holt, Sable Turnquist, and Robert T. Holt; three grandchildren: Emiliano, Scarlett, and Indra Sanchez-Holt; and eight siblings: Dale Holt, Tom Holt, Kim (Steve) Miller, Jackie (Dave) Kramer, Valerie Thomas, Debbie Marek, Annette Holt, and Beverly Holt. He is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Kay Below and Lorry Miller.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Finney’s, 2901-60th Street, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorial donations made to the family would be appreciated.
