It is with a heavy heart to announce the passings of Paulina (Tredup) Roenfanz, age 51 on Saturday, March 18th, 2023. Paulina passed away peacefully in her sleep at Zilbur Hospice after a six and a half year battle with a brain tumor and brain cancer.
Paulina was born on September 21st, 1971 to Dennis and Karen Tredup. Raised in Paddock Lake, Paulina attended Salem Grade School and Westosha Central High School. Paulina graduated from Patricia Stevens for interior design. On May 18th 1996, Paulina married her soulmate Kevin Roenfanz and was married for nearly 27 years.
During Paulina’s life, she worked in day care, then for Salem Grade School as a teacher’s aide for special needs students, and finally becoming a homemaker. Paulina loved her family and always put her children’s needs before her own. Paulina loved arts and crafts and could seemingly create things out of scrap paper and hot glue that no one else could. Paulina loved photography and it was her dream to take family photos or senior pictures for families that could not afford to have them done. Paulina loved her pets and especially her English Mastiff, Savannah. Paulina loved to create memories for her children and family, organizing vacations or special “October Outings”. Paulina had a sense of humor and loved to laugh and play innocent pranks on her family. During her sickness, she still maintained her sense of humor creating many quirky t shirts or sayings and even gave names to her tumor and brain cancer.
Paulina is survived by her husband Kevin Roenfanz; son Decin Roenfanz; daughter Soheila Roenfanz; parents Dennis and Karen Tredup; sister Denise (Chet) Gibs; sister Diane (Scott) Allen; nephew Josh; nephew Taylor, along with many Aunts and Uncles.
Paulina is preceded in death by her grandparents Walter and Olive Tredup.
A special thank you goes out to Dr. Kahn of St. Luke’s Milwaukee, Aurora Cancer Center, Aurora at Home Hospice, Westosha Lakes church and staff, and all who helped Paulina during her sickness.
A celebration of life services will be held at Westosha Lakes Church, on Friday, April 14th. Visitation will be held at 10 am at church and service at 11 am.
