Paula Watkins, 74, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on June 24, 2026, at City of Hope Cancer Center in Zion, IL. Paula was born on October 10, 1951, in Amory, Mississippi, the daughter of William and Eva (Greenhill) Moon. She was educated in the schools of Zion, IL. Paula married Jerry Watkins on March 22, 1975, in Wadsworth, IL.
She worked for John’s Manville in Waukegan, IL, for 28 years and, later, for Cardinal Health in Customer Service. Paula was a member of First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor. She shared a passion for gardening with Jerry and could often be seen for hours each spring and summer tending to her flower beds. Her other hobbies included arts and crafts, baking, and shopping. She loved spending time out with her community and close friends, but her family most of all – especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Jessica (Ethan Lowry) Watkins of Pageland, SC; Sarah Watkins of Kenosha, WI; Rebecca (Herb Eimerman) Domerchie of Lindenhurst, IL; mother, Eva Moon of Amory, MS; brother, Jeff (Janice) Moon of Tupelo, MS; also included are her grandchildren Kennedy Domerchie, Gavin Eimerman, Amaiya and Daisy Diaz. Paula was preceded in death by her father and her husband.
A memorial service will be held on July 5, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor, with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
