Marjorie Pias, 94, of Kenosha, passed away on May 10, 2026, at Willowbrook Assisted Living Center, surrounded by her loving family. It was 27 years to the day from the death of her husband.
Marjorie was born on October 29, 1931, in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Leslie and Olive Gunter. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha County. She graduated from Bradford High School and Whitewater Normal School. Marjorie married Pierre Howard Pias on May 30, 1953, in Bristol. She was a member of Wesley Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors. She especially enjoyed visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies included reading, letter writing, gardening, and watching wild animals in her yard.
Survivors include her children, Peter Andrew (Juanita) Pias of Marysville, WA, Elaine Biehn of Somers, WI, and Jill (William) Holton of Greenfield, WI; also surviving her are 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her brother, Leslie William Gunter.
Her family would like to thank Willowbrook Assisted Living and Kenosha Hospice Alliance for her recent care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to go to the Kenosha Public Library, Wesley United Methodist Church or a local PBS station.
A graveside service was held at Sunset Ridge Memorial Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church (4600 60th St., Kenosha, WI 53144) on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
