Marilyn J. Plutchak, 96 years old of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2026, at Robin Way Assisted Living, Kenosha, WI.
She was born May 26, 1930, in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Tessie (Fessenden) Kollmann.
Marilyn worked as an administrative assistant for the Kenosha Unified School District, retiring after many years of service. She was an avid bowler in her younger years, loved watching tennis matches, and was an enthusiastic Bingo player. Marilyn had a wonderful sense of humor and quick wit; she will be remembered as a devoted mother.
Survivors include her children, Susan (the late Thomas) Lane, Larry Plutchak, Joel (Barbara Jones) Plutchak, John Plutchak, Gary Plutchak, Amy (Rob) Preston, Sandra Plutchak, and Kenneth (Julie) Plutchak; grandchildren, Katrina, Ellen, Stephen, Robert III, Conner, Sarah, Daniel, Amy, and Brian; several great-grandchildren; and sisters, Eugenia (the late Bob) Gruber and Shirley (the late Ralph) Ruffolo.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her children, Nancy Davis and Daniel R. Plutchak; and siblings, Therese Winter, Arlene LeRose, Ray Kollmann, Arnold “Joe” Kollmann, Robert Kollmann, and Allen Kollmann.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7307 40th Avenue, Kenosha, WI. Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, and interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Pleasant Prairie, WI. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to a charity of their choice in her memory. Arrangements are entrusted to Proko Funeral Home.
