Marie Schoen, 68, of Racine passed away on November 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. 

Marie was born on February 10, 1955, in Racine, the daughter of the late Wayne and Kathrine (Geretz) Mattice. She was educated in the schools of Racine. Marie married David Schoen on August 13, 1973, in Racine. She was employed by Racine Public Schools as a special education assistant, as well as a Landscaper alongside her husband. Her hobbies included quilting, coloring, gardening but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially with her grandchildren. 

Survivors include her husband, David Schoen of Racine; children, Thomas (Alicia) Svendsen of Racine, Tara (James) Odland of Racine, Courtney Schoen of Thorp; sister, Leatha (Tommy) Mays of Racine; Sister-in-law Kathleen Mattice, brother-in-law Lloyd Schoen, sister-in-law Helen (Paul Back), Brother-in-law Michael (Lori) Schoen, Rita (Scott) Schoen; grandchildren, Cody Mattice, Dominic (Caitlynne) D’Acquisto, Jadon Svendsen, Justyn (Addison) Gerber, Jayson Gerber and Jazmyn Gerber; also included are her 6 great-grandchildren. As well as many nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Wayne & Curtiss Mattice, sister-in-law Faith Schoen. 

Services will be private.
