Margaret (Popp) Dezek, age 85, resident of Burlington, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Aurora Burlington Memorial Hospital.

Born on January 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Julian and Mary (Kosarog) Popp. Margaret attended St. Thomas Grade School in Waterford.

She lived in Burlington, Portage, and Kenosha prior to her marriage to Donald Dezek on February 29, 1984. Donald and Margaret continued to live in Kenosha until his passing on December 5, 2021.

She enjoyed many hobbies, puzzles, latch hook, and needlepoint. She also enjoyed a good baseball game and traveling. Her most prized possession is a collection of Cardinals.

She is survived by her sisters, Julie Moede, Mary Ignatowski, Jeanette Radtke, Rosemary Warner,  Florence (Ed) Chaulkin, Anne Antich, Agnes Brenton, Rita Feirn and Theresa Lancour; her sisters-in-law, Sandy Krebs, Pat Popp, Sue Brunner; her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, Anthony and Michael Popp.

Funeral services honoring Margaret’s life will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Church 305 South First Street, Waterford, WI.

Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for Mass.

Interment will be held privately.

A visitation for Margaret will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Aurora at Home Hospice Burlington www.advocateaurorahealth.org/foundations/where-to-give/ or to St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Waterford, WI www.saintthomaswaterford.org/.
