Marcella “Marcel” Rogers, age 77, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Froedtert South- Pleasant Prairie Hospital.
Marcel was born in New Albany, Mississippi, on July 13, 1948, to the late Charles N. Rogers and Classye (nee: Hall) Rogers. He faithfully served our country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. With a profound work ethic, Marcel was employed as a jitney driver at American Motors / Chrysler, from where he retired after 40 years of service.
Marcel’s passions included sports cars, Cadillacs, and shooting pool. He loved being together with his entire family and extensive circle of friends.
Surviving are his children, Michelle Rogers, Jullian Rogers and Deon Rogers; grandchildren, Dre’schell (Marcus) Walls and Mauquice Murry; great-grandchildren, Navy McCorvey and Nomi Walls; sisters & brothers, Tracy (Waleed) Ahmad, Gloria Rogers, Eric Rogers and Dennis Rogers; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.
In addition to his loving parents, Marcel was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Melvin Rogers, Sherry Pierce, Janice Griffin, Gerry Mosley, and Linda Rogers.
A Memorial Service will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 2:00 pm with Bishop Charles Jones officiating. Military honors will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Private inurnment will take place in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
