Luther Aaron Grimes, 81, of Kenosha, formerly of Eugene, Oregon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Northpoint Senior Living surrounded by his loving family.
Aaron was born on September 13, 1940, in Dorsey, Mississippi, the eldest son of the late Tracy & Stella (Lowder) Grimes. He was educated in the schools of Mississippi. Aaron was employed for many years in construction as a drywaller in Oregon until he retired. His hobbies included socializing at the Moose & Eagle’s Clubs where he held a number of positions, including President. He loved traveling by his 5th wheel and spending winters in Arizona, gardening, and spending time with his family & friends.
Survivors include his children, Lynn (Alvin) Hopkins, Robbie (Marilyn) Grimes and stepdaughter Leona Colling; brothers, Milton (Jackie) Grimes and Tom Grimes; sisters, Annette Crane and Kathy Schmikel; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren, with 1 on the way. Luther was preceded in death by his daughter, Ellen Pisula, and grandson, James Pisula.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 11:00AM-12:00PM, service at 12:00PM. Burial to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
