Lucy A. Litherland Holstein age 68 of Kenosha, WI passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Kenosha at 12:06 pm on Tuesday January 25, 2022.
Ms. Holstein was born on April 8, 1953 in Gary, Indiana to Carl R. Litherland and Anna M. McKeighan Litherland. Lucy attended and graduated from Calumet High School in 1972.
She was preceded in death by parents Carl and Anna Litherland; sister, Beverly Litherland; brother Carl Victor Litherland; nephew David Litherland; sister-in-law, Priscilla Litherland; sister-in-law Barbara Litherland and brother-in-law Greg Brown.
Lucy is survived by her sons Richard and Randy Holstein of Kenosha, WI and her beloved adopted granddaughter Ricki L. Holstein of Kenosha, WI. She is also survived by brother Walker Litherland and Lavonne Brown of Sun Lakes, AZ; sister Loretta Brown of Gary, IN; sister Mary Penick of Chester, MD and sister Ruth (Garry) Harris of Lawrenceville, IL. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Lucy worked in retail management for numerous years. In fact, it was her employment that brought her to Kenosha, WI in 2004. For the last 8 years she was employed at JC Penney in Kenosha.
Lucy was a born again Christian and was always saying “God’s will” to any obstacles that occurred in her life. To know Lucy was to love her. She was always smiling and laughing and an extremely hard worker. She loved horses, dogs and birds. Her spare time was watching her adopted child/granddaughter activities in sports, driving to the lake with Ricki and visiting her siblings and their families.
A Celebration of Life will be planned by her siblings for Lucy in Northern Indiana at a date to be determined.
