Lola M. Ebert, 96, of Kenosha passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Hospice Alliance Hospice House.
She was born on September 24, 1927 to the late Wayne and Rose (Ferber) Marchant in Campbellsport, WI. She was educated in the schools of Campbellsport and graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1945. Then Lola graduated from Milwaukee County School of Nursing in 1949.
On July 1, 1950 she married Allen Ebert in Campbellsport, WI. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1986.
Lola worked as an RN for Kenosha Memorial Hospital then at the Kenosha City Health department for many years. After retiring from nursing, she became a travel agent and worked for American World Travel.
Lola was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Lola was a world traveler, traveling to 32 countries and all but two states in the United States Delaware and Rhode Island. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid Cubs and Packers fan, never missing a game and loved playing cards and games with her family.
Lola is survived by her children Gayle Poquette, Lynn McGranahan, Mark Ebert, Craig (Carla) Ebert and Jan Ebert, her grandchildren Steven (Heather) Poquette, Terry L. (Shannon) Poquette, Ryan (Betsy) McGranahan, Lucas (Trang) McGranahan, Jared (Kelley) McGranahan, Emily Ebert, Neil Ebert, Troy Ebert, Michelle (Cody) Sargent and Chad (Chloe Forman) Ebert, her 15 great grandchildren and her 10 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two brothers William and Joseph.
A Memorial Service for Lola will be held on Thursday, January 25th at 12:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church (1803 – 83rd St). Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
