Julianne Nelson Carden, age 72, of Twin Lakes, WI passed away on January 29th, 2022. Born February 12th, 1949 to Robert Nelson & Delores Dahlstrom, Julie was the oldest of a host of 8 siblings. This was likely the start of her motherly and good-hearted nature, always caring for others.
Growing up to be a working mother to three children, at one point commuting 4 hours a day in addition to her work, while managing to still be well known for her spotless home and world-renowned beef pot roast & lasagna, there is no doubt Julie lived for the comfort and betterment of her family. Julie’s passing will leave a gaping hole in the hearts of her adoring husband, Don, her children, her siblings, and the extended family she grew through her years and cared for regardless of if they were family by birth or choice. The flowers she tenderly watered and the growing army of chipmunks she enjoyed feeding each day on her patio will undoubtedly miss the loving affection with which she treated all creatures.
Julie loved nothing more than being around friends, family and loved ones. She was blessed to have so many that lived close. Her husband of 23 years and his children created a blended family with hers that truly enjoyed one another. She was able to maintain a friendship for the ages with her sisters and brothers. She saw three of her grandchildren grow into young adults firsthand, one of the greatest joys of her life. For the family that did not live close, Julie always prioritized and cherished them, her video calls with endless dinosaur show and tell sessions will be greatly missed. Her always well thought out care packages showed the time and attention she spent to truly know others and the things that could bring a smile to their faces.
Julie worked hard, sacrificed much, and was thrown many tough breaks throughout her life. She always battled through every obstacle. She set an example of quiet strength. She persevered. She remained the calm and tender soul she was despite life’s challenges. She did so because she loved fiercely. And, in turn, was fiercely loved.
Her life will be forever cherished by those that had the great privilege of knowing her. Julie is survived by her husband, Don Carden; sons Kevin Suchecki (Meredith), Brian Suchecki; her siblings Cathy (Robert) Lehner, Debbie (Nick) Sarlo, Robert (Debra) Nelson, Ted (Betty) Nelson, Keith Nelson, and Karen Nelson; her stepsons, Keith (Carolyn) Carden, David Carden, Nate (Kristin) Carden, and Sam (Nicole) Carden; her stepdaughter Michelle (Mike) Leonard; her grandchildren Caleb Suchecki, Daisy DeBoer, Brayden Hilty and Dylan Hilty. She is survived by a plethora of adoring step grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Nelson & Delores Dahlstrom, her daughter Laurie DeBoer, and her brother Stevie Nelson.
