Judith “Judy” A. Kittles, 85 years old, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023, at her home in Kenosha.
Born in Boaz, AL on August 4, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marjorie (Gamble) Thrasher. She was raised in Boaz, AL as the eldest sibling and a role model to them. She married her high school sweetheart, the late Billy Jack Kittles, in 1955, in Mississippi.
Judy and Billy Jack moved to WI and settled in Kenosha for over 40 years. They grew their family to four children. While being a homemaker and raising her family she worked at Krok’s Restaurant for over 23 years as a waitress. She also loved spending her time at the Kenosha Youth Foundation working out there for 20 plus years.
After Judy and Billy Jack retired, they moved back to Boaz, AL so she could help take care of her mother. There she joined her beloved Boaz Senior Center for over 27 years. She participated in many activities there including line dancing, pool, dominoes, and bridge.
Judy moved back to Kenosha, WI seven months ago to be closer to her daughters and family so they could help take care of her just as she did to them. She decided to spend her time at the Kenosha Senior Center would exercise and play bridge.
She will be remembered the most for her beautiful soul. The ability to be able to talk to anyone and make friends easily. She was loved by many, and she loved hard.
Judy is survived by her children, Jacqueline (George) Pinzger and Jennifer (Mike) Mathey; grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, and Amber (Mike Herrin) Brendemihl, Zachary, Alexis, and Elizabth Lalonde, and Chloe Mathey; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Hailie Chatman, and Kiara and Michael Herrin; and siblings, Joan Gravel, Peggy (Gerald) Noel, Pat (Randy) Smith, and Karen Carroll.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her children, Jeff and Jon Kittles, and brother Terry Thrasher.
Private services were held for Judy.
