Jeffrey “JB” Lee Behrens, 70, of Union Grove, Wisconsin, passed away at his home on May 25, 2026.
Jeff was born on March 2, 1957, in Bellflower, California, to Marilyn (nee Wendt) Behrens and Ellsworth “Bud” Behrens. He grew up in Union Grove, a community he loved deeply and was proud to call home for the rest of his life. He spent his younger years living life to the fullest, racing cars at the dragstrip and ice-racing motorcycles on Eagle Lake.
On September 8, 1990, Jeff married the love of his life, Angel, and together they built a family that was his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
For over 25 years, Jeff owned and operated JB’s Pub, where he was far more than a business owner. He was a friend, a confidant, and a constant presence to everyone who walked through the door. He genuinely considered his patrons family, and the lifelong friendships forged at JB’s are a testament to the kind of man he was.
Jeff’s happiest days were spent at his cabin in Necedah, where hunting, fishing, and making memories with his family filled his time. He was his children and grandchildren’s biggest fan — whether cheering from the bleachers at a ball field, fishing on the lake, or sitting for hours in the woods deer hunting, there was truly nowhere he would rather have been. He beamed with pride watching them play sports, excel in school, and grow into the people they are becoming. They were, without question, the light of his life.
Jeff is survived by his mother Marilyn Behrens, his beloved wife, Angel; his children Jaclyn Bartell (Bob Moehrke), Kristen Hoffman (James Meyers), and Ross Behrens; and his cherished grandchildren Paul Bartell, Dylan Moehrke, Aaden Hoffman, Lacey Meyers, Bryce “Price” Meyers and Lukas Hoffman, siblings Kenny (Jessica Rohner) Behrens, Mark (Jane) Behrens and Linda Minor, in-laws Dawn Shimkus and Marla and Tony Bruno. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Bud Behrens; his sisters-in-law, Sandy Quadracci and Debra Shimkus; and his brother-in-law, Jerry Minor.
JB will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
