With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeanne Abrahamson on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the age of 83. Jeanne was born on March 26, 1943, in Kenosha, WI, to Anthony and Elizabeth (Burzynski) Kamieniecki. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1961.
Jeanne married her high school sweetheart and soulmate, Kenneth Abrahamson, on July 20, 1963. They met while being cast in a play while in their teens.
Jeanne worked in administration throughout her life at Motor Transport, Davis Heating & Cooling, and at the KUSD Education Support Center, where she retired in 2006.
She had a passion for traveling with her husband. In addition to traveling the country, they enjoyed trips to Three Lakes, WI, to visit family. She organized our yearly trip to Wisconsin Dells, where we enjoyed spending time as a family. Jeanne also had the opportunity to travel to Russia and Poland through UW-Parkside with her friends. She enjoyed dinners with friends, nights at the casino, attending plays, and bowling in numerous leagues. Jeanne loved her monthly club meetings with her lifelong friends.
Jeanne cherished her family. It was important to her to keep family ties with relatives and always attend family events to show support. She looked forward to getting together to play cards and games.
Jeanne is survived by her spouse of 62 years, Kenneth; children, Karen (Tim) Barsuli, and Christine (Jeff) Enrich; grandchildren, Nick Barsuli, Stephanie (Ryan Myer) Barsuli, and Ben Abrahamson; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Rick Kamieniecki, and her parents.
The family would like to thank Hospice Alliance and Froedtert for the care they provided.
A visitation will be held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 3:00 -5:00 pm. Service will immediately follow at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Alliance are appreciated.
