James Joseph Pollack, 68 years old of Lake Villa, IL passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Capt. James A. Lovell Federal HealthCare Center, North Chicago, IL.
He was born August 22, 1955, in Des Plaines, IL the son of the late Roy David and Mary Ann (Zahaitis) Pollack.
Jim grew up in Des Plaines, IL. He spent much of his career installing and repairing overhead and garage doors. Jim was an avid Chicago sports fan, enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle, NASCAR, traveling in his van, and hanging out with his dog Heidi. He will be remembered for his laid-back nature and willingness to help anyone he could. Jim cherished spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.
Survivors include his children, Andrea (James) Carver of Maxwell, IA and Christopher (Amanda Muscarello) Pollack of Trevor, WI; granddaughters, Shay and Kinsley Carver; siblings, Roy (Denise) Pollack, Cynthia Forte, Wayne (Peggy) Pollack, Daniel Pollack, and Steve (Roz) Pollack; his mother-in-law, Nadyne Sedar and brothers and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his former wife and dear friend, Nancy (Sedar) Pollack.
