Gordon James Coopman Jr, age 57, of Mount Pleasant, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 27, 2026. He was born on November 27, 1968, in Kenosha to Gordon Coopman Sr and Patricia Jones.
Gordy will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his hard work ethic, and for traveling the world building, repairing, or taking down Nuclear Power Plants for Westinghouse and PCI. He had a very bright mind for building different things or remodeling just about anything.
Gordy loved his “other half” of 16 years, Amy Clark, and she returned that love. He is survived by his 2 sons, Gordon Coopman III and Nathaniel Coopman; his mother, Patricia Jones; his favorite (and only) brother, Jeff (Cheryl) Coopman; his sisters, Linda (Joe) Heim, Sandy (Rick) Roberts; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
There will be no service per his request.
