Franklin D. Kushman Sr., 81, of Bristol passed away on Wednesday April 14, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Franklin was born on July 22, 1939 in Kenosha, the son of the late Frank & Jenny (Etzelmueller) Kushman. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha Co. Franklin married Karen Fredricksen on May 24, 1969 in Kenosha. He was employed at AMC/Chrysler for 30 years, later working at Laidlaw Bus Company as a monitor with his wife, Karen. He was a member of the Kenosha Bible Church. His hobbies included playing softball in his younger years, golfing, cheering for the Cubs & Packers, but most of all spending time with family & friends.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Kushman of Bristol; children, Franklin (Therese) Kushman of IL, Debra Kushman of IL, Dawn (McDevitt) Wells of Mt. Pleasant, Shawn McDevitt of Wrightstown,WI; 5 grandchildren, Kristen, David, Kenny, Molly, and Patrick; and 3 great grandchildren, Hunter, Jaxon, and Kash. Franklin was preceded in death by a son, Steven Kushman, sisters, Helen Kopp and Betty Johnson, and brother, Richard Kushman.
A visitation will be held on Sunday April 18, 2021 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 2:00-4:00PM, with funeral services to follow at 4:00PM. Private Burial Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
Due to COVID-19, facemasks are required in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Jude or Kenosha Bible Church would be appreciated.
