Frank Cucunato, 92, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Born in Kenosha, WI, on February 26, 1932; he was the son of the late Charles and Frances (Bruno) Cucunato. He attended local schools graduating from St. Catherine’s High School in Racine, WI.
He served in the United States Army until his was honorably discharged.
Frank married Claire Wilke and they shared many happy years together. After Claire’s passing on January 1, 1999. He then was blessed to have another love, Lucille Chiapetta Widmanich. They were married on January 20, 2001, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on June 22, 2019.
He was employed by AMC Chrysler as the Chief Steward for the Union until his retirement in 1988, when the Kenosha plant closed.
Frank had been a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Mary Catholic Church, the Kenosha Moose Club, and Racine Roma Lodge.
He enjoyed taking trips to Milwaukee to spend time at Potawatomi gambling and attending concerts.
Frank is survived by four children, Geri Cucunato, Frances Cucunato, Robert Cucunato, and Charles Cucunato; stepdaughter, Celeste (Robert) Fleming; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and other special family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Therese Cucunato Madsen on December 13, 2017, and his sister and brother.
No services will be held per Frank’s wishes.
