Eric Farr, 74, of Pleasant Prairie passed away on September 16, 2023, at Hospice Alliance House surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Eric was born on March 28, 1949, in England, the son of the late Florence Farr. He was educated in the schools of England. In the 1970’s, he immigrated to the US to a better life for his family as a tool and die maker. Throughout the years, he enjoyed coaching his sons in baseball and soccer and continued to coach soccer until he retired. He coached for the Gurnee travel league, Waukegan High School and finished his career as the head coach for the Robert Morris College girls’ team.
Eric absolutely loved a variety of music and enjoyed going to concerts. He always looked forward to his trips back to England to spend time with family and friends. In his spare time, he made sure to keep up with his favorite team, Manchester United, and the British shows on PBS. Eric enjoyed the time he spent with friends and family and was well known at places he frequented.
Survivors include his children, Christer (Sharon) Farr of CA, Anders (Amy) Farr of Pleasant Prairie; sister, Margaret (David) Rowe of England, also included are his grandchildren, Matthew, Skylar, Savannah and a niece, Teresa. Eric was preceded in death by his mother.
A celebration of life will be held at the Boat House Pub and Eatery on Saturday, October 7 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The family invites his friends to stop by and share those things he wouldn’t want us to know.
In lieu of flowers, please treat yourself to a concert or purchase some new music and think of him while you are listening.
