Edwin “Eddie” Eugene Bahling, Sr., 85, of Kenosha, WI, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha, WI. He was born in Waukegan, IL, on August 29, 1940.
Eddie was the second son of Gordon and Esther Bahling. He attended local schools in Indianapolis, IN, through eighth grade. Afterward, Eddie went to work to help support his mother and sisters. At the age of 23, Eddie married the love of his life, Thelma K. Robinson, on June 29, 1963. For the first few years of marriage, they lived in Wisconsin. In 1971, Eddie moved his family to Park City, IL, where they lived for many years. While there, he attended the United Pentecostal Church and worked at Chicago Cutlery in Wauconda, IL, for 30 years.
In 2009, Eddie moved in with his daughter Rose and her family in Kenosha, WI, where he helped take care of his grandchildren and attended the Tabernacle Church.
Eddie was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Thelma; his parents; his siblings, Gordon “Sonny”, Mary Ann Bahling, and Edith Marie Robinson; and his grandson, Alec Saldana.
Eddie is survived by his three children, Yvonne Bahling of Thorpe, WI, Rose (Robert) Wick, Jr of Kenosha, WI, and Edwin Bahling, Jr. of Mesa, AZ; six grandchildren, Gilbert (Kellie) Saldana, Brandon Wick, Cameron Wick, William Wick, Cody Saldana, Adriana Wick and Jennifer Saldana; four great-grandchildren, Leo Sudah Olvera (16), Aimee Olvera (15), Ryan Guererro, Jr. (13), and Damien Rafael Saldana (10); and two sisters, Mary (Jack) Hamerick and Bobby (Robert) Weith.
A Celebration of Life for Eddie will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at The Tabernacle, 7951 36th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53142.
