In the remembrance of Our Beloved…
Ebony Janaye Evans born in Monterey, California was born on August 23rd 1982. She passed October 9th 2022 in Milwaukee, WI at Aurora St. Lukes Hospital. She passed from a long 6yr fight with breast cancer, that was tough but never tougher than our Ebby. Our heavenly father was ready for his new angel and gave her the much needed new start she deserves in heaven with him. She was truly a Superwoman! Supermom, Super-Sister, Super-daughter, Super-friend, Super-granddaughter, and Superstar in all the eyes of those who loved her.
Survived by her two children; son Eden Evans and daughter Nayeli Evans-Lopez
Her siblings; Kasey Lamb Brooks, Abdul Robinson, James Evans II, Taneeka Lopez, Davona Evans and James Evans III. Parents; James Evans and Elizabeth Stanford. Grandmother Lizzie Mae Evans.
Preceded in death by a; Grandfather James Edwin Evans, Grandmother Daisy Eason, Aunt Brenda Evans, Brother James Evans II, and Nephew Shawn Brooks Jr. She was academically gifted. She always received high honors in school. She attended the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and received her Bachelor’s degree of Arts, and didn’t stop there, she also went on to receive her Master’s degree of Science in Criminal Justice. There are not enough words or what we like to call Ebbyisms to describe this amazing spirit but I’ll give you a few, she was E-mazing, vibrant, vivacious, passionate, loyal, affectionate, generous, fashionable, quick-witted and would definitely tell u what’s on her mind, Dat Part! She loved being a mother, spending time with loved ones, decorating, shopping, dancing, music which spoke to her soul, cooking and taking advantage of what beauty the day offered and always smelled heavenly.
In honor of our new angel her mother Elizabeth Stanford dedicates Corinthians 13:4-7 to be a sweet spot when remembering our EJE, and to always know,
LOVE…
Is patient
Is kind
It does not envy
It does not boast
It is not proud
It is not rude
It is not self-seeking
It is not easily angered
Keeps no record of wrongs
Does not delight in evil
Rejoices with the truth
Always protects
Always trust
Always hopes
Always preservers
LOVE never fails
