Douglas Gayle Erickson, 58, of Kenosha, WI, passed away unexpectedly at his residence.
Born in Kansas on October 13,1965, he was the son of Larry and Geraldine (Zimmerman) Erickson of Kenosha, WI. He graduated from Bradford High school in 1984.
After high school, he lettered in Track at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and coached football at Tremper for three years, at St. Joe’s for 1 year, and at Bradford for three years. He also coached track at Bradford for eight years. Because of his achievements as a student athlete and as a coach, Douglas was inducted into the Kenosha Public School’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2007.
Doug was an avid coin collector, enjoyed trivia, music and had a beautiful sense of humor that would light up the room. He enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Douglas is survived by his brother Christopher (Julie Lemke) Erickson of Edgerton, WI, and his nephew Jackson (Erin Rajkovich) Erickson of Bluffton, SC.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
