Donna A. Thorburn, 86, of Burlington, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington.
Born in Waco, Texas, on November 10, 1939, she was the daughter of Don and Ann (nee Quiram) Fitch. She worked in corporate purchasing for Anixter International and was a former professional singer at St. James Cathedral in Chicago. She enjoyed traveling to the British Isles and Hawaii, and enjoyed bowling and slow-pitch softball. She was very much an artist, enjoying painting and drawing. Donna was a proud graduate of Elmhurst College, where she majored in English.
Donna is preceded in death by her dearest friend, May Brottman, and by her former husband, David L. Thorburn. Donna is survived by her children, Julie (Eric) Dahlstrom and David Thorburn; nieces, Jennifer Thorburn, Calli DuCharme, and Lindsay DuCharme; dear friends, Lee (Nina) Brottman and Adam and Natalie Brottman; sister, Frances Fitch; and sister-in-law, Sherry Thorburn. She was preceded in death by her sister, Cara Fitch DuCharme, brother-in-law Richard Thorburn, and nephew Richard Thorburn Jr.

Services for Donna will be held Monday, May 4, 2026, at 1 PM at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 11 AM until 1 PM at the FUNERAL HOME. Burial will take place at Rochester Cemetery at 2 PM.
