It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Dolores Catherine Drissel, who left us on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the age of 78, surrounded by her loving family. Dolores was born on October 7, 1947, to the late William and Rhea (Miller) Neu. She was a 1965 graduate of Salem Central High School.
On July 19, 1969, she was united in marriage to Marvin Drissel at St. George Catholic Church.
For many years, she was a dedicated farm wife, taking great pride in caring for her family and helping with the farm. She also worked at Chrysler Motors and U.W. Parkside as a secretary.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and treasured the time she spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed baking, putting together puzzles, and sharing an Old Fashioned with those she loved. She was one of her grandchildren’s biggest supporters, faithfully attending volleyball games and pig shows and cheering them on every step of the way. An avid card player, she also loved planting colorful spring and summer flowers, shopping for crafts and home décor at Sassy Primitives, and proudly cheering on her favorite Wisconsin sports teams, especially the Packers and the Brewers.
Dolores had a special way of touching the lives of everyone she met. Her laughter was contagious, and her spirit was indomitable. She was a devoted wife and mother, a loyal friend, and a confidante to many. Whether sharing an old-fashioned or a Bud Lite or enjoying a long chat, Dolores had a genuine knack for making others feel seen and heard.
Dolores’ legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family and friends will remember her for her beautiful smile, her generous heart, and her ability to find joy in everyday moments. She is survived by her husband, Marv; daughters, Michelle Stratton and Melissa (Jason) Sweatman; grandchildren, Dr. Nikki (Dr. Hunter) Grams, Alyssa (Aaron Denko) Stratton, and Abby and Grant Sweatman; sister Darlene (Lee) Mich; sister-in-law, Gail Neu; brother/sister-in-laws, Norm (Kathy) Drissel, Keith (Judy) Drissel, and Debbie (Steve) Sendelbach; many nieces/nephews/great nieces/nephews; and her beloved Jezebel Sisters, Karen Noonan, Gail Gentz, Trina Weis, and Sue Plants.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her in-laws, Jerome (LaVerne) Drissel; brother, Richard Neu; sister-in-law, Beverly Drissel; and Jezebel Sister, Ellen Daniels.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church would be appreciated.
