Darlene George, 92, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, in Show Low, AZ. Born on February 25, 1934, Darlene lived a full and vibrant life marked by her dedication to family, faith, and adventure.
A graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School in Kenosha, WI, Darlene met and married her high school sweetheart, Ronald George. Their marriage spanned 61 cherished years before his passing. Professionally, Darlene worked as a Senior Quality Control Technician at Ocean Spray for 13 years, where her meticulous nature and commitment to excellence were evident.
Darlene was a devoted member of the Church of Christ and found joy in her faith and church community. She was an avid follower of the Chicago Cubs and embraced life with an adventurous spirit in her later years, partaking in activities such as rock climbing, hot air balloon rides, and zip lining. She also loved reading, playing card games, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Lynn (Gary) Eckmann of Racine, WI, Laura (Douglas) Roberts of Show Low, AZ, Diana Landers of Kenosha, WI, and Darrel (Michelle) George of Willets, CA. She leaves behind six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and thoughtfulness. Darlene was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald George; son, Daniel George; and sisters, Fonelle and Yvonne.
A private graveside gathering will take place during the summer to honor her memory. Darlene’s life was filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
