Dale Eugene Ostrander of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. He was born May 18, 1953 in Waukegan, Illinois to Richmond and Olive (Hendricks) Ostrander. He was a 1971 graduate of Waukegan High School. He married Darci (Miller) Ostrander on October 11, 1999 in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois.
Dale loved the simple things in life and enjoyed golfing, drawing and painting. He worked as an electrician for over 40 years before he retired in 2018. He would often have a good western show or golf on the tv or a Cubs game (if they were doing good that season). He was a hard worker with great work ethic, who was always there for the people he loved. He was a great example of strength, grace, strong-will and loving people for who they are. His wit and ability to crack jokes was truly a gift. His greatest pride and joy without a doubt was his wife, Darci, of almost 24 years, his daughters and grandchildren.
Dale’s memory will be cherished and honored by his loving wife Darci who he adored beyond measure; his daughters Shawna Habura and husband Drew, Tarah McBride and husband Jacob, Haley Perez and husband Zakk, and Lauren Keren and husband Benjamin; his grandchildren Kieran and Colette Habura, Kennedy and Aria Perez, and Ayla Keren; his siblings Rick Ostrander and wife Donna, Lynn Jakubowicz, Bruce Ostrander, and Scott Ostrander; his mother-in-law Diana Miller and husband Craig; his brother-in-law Rob Miller and wife Rita; his nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and several family members and friends. Dale is preceded in death by his parents Richmond and Olive Ostrander; his father-in-law Arvil Miller; and his grandson Maddox Jacob McBride.
Please join us to honor Dale’s life on Saturday, July 29th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Kenosha Funeral Services, 8226 Sheridan Road, Kenosha, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to assist with the funeral expenses. A celebration of life for family and close friends will be held after visitation services.
