Constance “Connie” L. Coe, 82, of Goshen, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Greencroft Healthcare.
Connie was born on October 10, 1943, in King City, Calif. Her parents were the late Orin and Adeline (Rux) Halverson. She married the love of her life, Larry J. Coe, on June 15, 1968, in Madison, Wisconsin. From that moment, Connie and Larry were inseparable.
Larry passed away on August 23, 2023, after 54 years of marriage.
Connie is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Bradley) Fulton of Mishawaka, Ind., and Sue (Tim) Anderson of Kenosha, Wisc.; three grandchildren, Benjamin Fulton, Lee Fulton, and Dakota Anderson; brother, Ronald (Marianne) Halverson of Madison, Wisc.; several cousins; and close in-laws.
Connie’s life journey brought her to Wisconsin at an early age, and she built a meaningful and impactful life there. After earning a college degree at Edgewood College in Madison, she taught for Head Start at the St. Martin House, where she met Larry. She then worked as a middle school social studies teacher, shaping young minds with her knowledge and compassion. After spending some years raising her daughters, she began working part-time at Sears, supporting Larry as he taught high school Theology. Their shared faith was central to their lives, and they worked and worshipped together in the church, fostering community and spiritual growth.
