Constance “Connie” Atkin, age 74, peacefully went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 after a battle with cancer.
Born in Kenosha on April 27, 1946, Connie was the daughter of the late Emil and Veronica (Moticik) Kubica.
Connie attended Kenosha schools and graduated from St. Joe’s High School. She worked as a sales associate for many years at B.C. Ziegler and later worked at Kenosha Hospital.
She sacrificed many things so her children didn’t go with-out. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, Baylee and Rylee, and making kolache with Jeremy. She enjoyed playing bingo, solitaire, pinochle, crocheting and knitting afghans, reading, shopping at Shopko, listening to music, and going for walks. Connie looked forward to her time with family and attending Mass at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Connie will be deeply missed by her children, Jeremy (DeAnna) Atkin, David (Ruth) Cardinali, Michael (Sue) Cardinali; her brother Dr. Joseph E. Kubica; her grand-children, Baylee and Rylee Atkin, Joey and Danny Cardinali; her family members, Katie DeBartolo, John and Peter Kubica, and many others that loved and cared for her.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Janet Cardinali; and her grand-children, Nicholas and Gabrielle Cardinali.
Funeral services honoring Connie’s life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 2224 30th Avenue.
