Charles J. Labanowsky, III, age 75, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, unexpectedly passed away on May 31, 2026. He was born on August 21, 1950, to Sarah Janella (Cooper) and Charles J. Labanowsky, Jr. He graduated from St. Joseph High School, studied international business at Thunderbird School of Global Management (Arizona), and completed his education in law at Marquette University.
Charlie was engaged at Snap-on Tools for several years as corporate counsel and subsequently specialized as an independent business and estate planning lawyer. He was an avid enthusiast of tennis, scuba diving, skiing, and karate. In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, studying the Bible, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was exceedingly proud of his family. Charles was a member of Journey Church. He was very committed to his faith and valued the friends he made at both his church and in his Bible study group.
Charlie was known to be outgoing and loved to talk with people he constantly met, enjoying discussions about his family and politics.
He is survived by his children, Sara (Nicholas) Oxborough of Minneapolis, Michael (Carlin) Labanowsky of Racine, and Peter Labanowsky of Kenosha; grandchildren Hudson and Cooper Oxborough, and Arlo Labanowsky; and his sisters Mary (Tom) Becker and Cecilia Lucas, both of Kenosha, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services and Crematory, 8226 Sheridan Road, on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 11:00 AM to noon, with a prayer service to follow.
