Bernadine F. Kurylo, 91, of Bristol, passed away Monday, June 15, 2026, at Elizabeth Residence.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, on March 20, 1935, she was the daughter of Frank and Josephine (nee Wisniewski) Strach. Her early life was spent in Chicago. On May 4, 1957, at St. Genevieve Church in Chicago, she was united in marriage to Donald Kurylo. They lived in Chicago before moving to Bristol in 1973. Donald preceded her in death on February 22, 2002.
Bernadine worked as a bookkeeper for Badger Press and was a member of the Red Hats, Lioness of Union Grove, Super Sam’s Camping and the Bristol Drift Busters Snowmobile Club. She also volunteered at the Veterans Center in Union Grove. She loved photography, gardening, and helping out on the family farm.
Bernadine is survived by her son, Glenn (Jane) Kurylo, and grandchildren, Austin Kurylo and Kelsey Kurylo. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Ron (Corine) Strach and Jeanette (Edward) Halverson
The family would like to thank the staff at Elizabeth Residence and Legacy Hospice for their care during this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 12:30 PM at St. Roberts Bellarmine Catholic Church. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, July 2nd at CHURCH from 11 AM to 12 NOON. Bernadine will be laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery in Kenosha at 2:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will take place at The Brat Stop from 3:30 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 2nd.
