Benedict Thomas Yuknis, age 80, of Powers Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023. He was born to the late Benedict and Irene (Sliwa) Yuknis on December 30, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois.

Ben dedicated nearly forty years of his life working as a press operator in Spring Grove, IL, as well as many years at the Wilmot Ski Hills. An avid hunter and fisherman, Ben was a lifetime member of the Powers Lake Sportsmens Club where he shot trap and taught hunter safety courses. He also enjoyed cheering on his favorite sports teams – the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. Ben’s family fondly recalls how they could never drive anywhere without Ben asking which roads they took and what the weather was like at their location.

Ben is survived by his three daughters; Tamara (Keith Hinzpeter) Yuknis, Kimberly Gleason, and Robin (Mick) Burns, seven grandchildren; Brittany, Che’, Alyssa, Kaia, Tyla, Noah, and Elijah, his siblings; Donald (Linda) Yuknis, Annette (Gary) French, Christine (Jack) Ceremuga, Dorothy (Dick) Cherven, and Leonard Yuknis, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friend, Emil Mravec. He was preceded in death by his sister Victoria Sowka and granddaughter Haven McRae.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home, 620 Legion Drive in Twin Lakes, WI, with a Memorial Service to follow at 1:00PM at the funeral home.
