Beatrice Mahan, 95, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Beatrice was born on January 11, 1931, in Viroqua, WI, the daughter of Alice Olson. She was educated in the schools of Viroqua, graduating from Lacrosse Tech. Beatrice married John Mahan on January 7, 1956, in Kenosha. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage together. She was employed at MacWhyte Wire Rope and Jockey International for many years, retiring in February 1993. Beatrice was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. Her hobbies included playing games on her tablet, going on casino trips, scrolling through Facebook, baking cookies, but most of all spending time with her family & friends, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her two children, Dennis (Ann) Mahan, Kathy Acerbi both of Kenosha; her four grandchildren, Chase Mahan, Cortny (Luka) Kovacevic, Kaley Acerbi, & Breanna (Matt) Chwala; two great grandchildren, Niko & Brae; sisters, Linda (Jim) Schuler of Madison, Karen (Terry) Spreuer of Holmen, sister in laws, Mary (Steven) Schubert, Rita Olson; her precious grand dogs, Asher & Mack; and many nieces, nephews, and other family & friends. Beatrice was preceded in death by her mother Alice, her husband John, her brothers Atley & Rodney, her sister Anne, and her sister-in-law, Karlene.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with memorial services to follow at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorial donations be made to Wisconsin Humane Society- Kenosha Campus.
