Annie Louise (Richardson) Hurst, age 81, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at her home in Kenosha.
Born on November 23, 1939 in Monroeville, AL, she was the daughter of Cleveland and Mary (Finklea) Richardson and raised by her aunt, Lucy R. Davis. Annie attended local schools and graduated from Union High School.
On December 25, 1960, she was united in marriage to John Hurst. They shared 60 wonderful years of marriage.
She was employed as a Selector for Anchor Glass for more than 25 years.
Annie was a member of Thomas Memorial AME Church in Zion, IL. She was a bowler on many leagues for years, enjoyed cooking for everyone and loved word search puzzles and soap operas. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
Left to cherish Annie’s memory are her husband, John; her children, Beverly Battle of California, Bobby Hurst of Kenosha, Cynthia (Erwin) Anderson of Texas; her eight grandchildren; her thirteen great-grandchildren; her siblings, Hattie Nettles, Mammie Sigler, Bessie Johnson, Clevie Laffitte, Elousie Denson, Charles Richardson, Freddie Richardson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her aunt, Lucy R. David; her siblings, Cleveland Richardson, Jr., Wilbert Richardson, Willie Richardson, Eugene Richardson, Charise Powell, Claudia Sigler, and Mary Wright.
