Ann M. Benoit, 101, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, May 21, 2023 at her residence.
She was born on December 1, 1921 to the late Stephen and Mary (Bizon) Istvanek in Kenosha and was raised on her grandparent’s dairy farm in Pleasant Prairie. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
Ann worked as an inspector for AMC/Chrysler for 35 years. She also worked as a lunch lady at Roosevelt Elementary and Pleasant Prairie Elementary School.
Ann was a member of UAW Local #72.
Ann enjoyed watching TV especially Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and General Hospital. In her younger years she like bowling, going to dances and gardening. Most of all, she loved getting visits from her family.
Ann is survived by her children Gerald “Jerry” Packman, Gary “Bobby” (Helen) Packman, Susan Bolton and Dianne (Jeffrey) Tryban, her four grandchildren, her five great grandchildren and her two great great grandchildren and her siblings Mary Myers, Charlie Istvanek, Eddie (Betty) Istvanek, James (Heidi) Istvanek and Patricia Cairo.
She is preceded in death by her siblings Albert Istvanek, Elizabeth Packman, Rose Cherny, Ida Davis and Stephen Istvanek Jr.
Graveside Services for Ann will be held on Thursday, May 25th at 1:00 p.m. at All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family. The family would like to thank her granddaughter Nikki, her great granddaughter Lexi and Hospice Alliance for their loving and compassionate care given to Ann.
