Agnes Irene Eisler, 96, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully at Brookside Care in Kenosha, WI on January 22, 2024.
Born in L’Anse, MI, on September 28, 1927, she was the daughter of the late August Pekkala and Sylvia (Mannila) Pekkala Korpi.
On April 6, 1948, she married the late Carl J. Eisler in Herman, MI. In 1982, they moved to Kenosha, WI from California. Before retiring Agnes was a secretary to the vice president of All State Insurance.
She loved quilting, knitting, painting, reading, photography, and shopping. She was an expert cook and made amazing desserts for all family celebrations, but above all she was known for her outfits, as she was indeed very fashionable. Agnes also doted on her granddaughters and participated in many of their childhood adventures.
Surviving are her two children, Carl J. (Donna) Eisler Jr. of Tustin, CA, and Kathy (Don) Gemig of Kenosha, WI; her grandchildren, Julia, and Melissa; her great-grandchildren, Milo, Max, and Modi; and many other loving family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her sister Martha Batassa and granddaughter-in-law Gina Zarletti.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Proko Funeral Home, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place privately at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.
Agnes’ family would like to thank her caregiver Carla for all the constant love, support, and care she gave Agnes over the years and to the entire staff at Brookside Care Center for the care they provided in the final years of her life.
