Susan M. “Susie” Jensen, 69, of Bristol, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Froedtert South Hospital in Pleasant Prairie.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on November 15, 1956, she was the daughter of Frederick and Rita (nee Spieckermann) Schmidt. Her early life was spent in Milwaukee, where she graduated from Hamilton High School. She earned her degree in X-Ray and Ultrasound from UW-Green Bay and Echo Cardiography from MATC. On May 15, 1993, she was united in marriage to James Jensen. Following marriage, they resided in the Burlington area for 18 years before eventually moving to Bristol, where they have resided for the past 5 years.
Susie worked as an echocardiographer and was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Mequon, TOPS, and KOPS. She was also the owner of JLS Vacuums and Built-In Systems, formerly of Burlington, and vice-president of JLS Ventures Inc. She was an avid casino goer, loved to do artwork with her kids and grandkids, and made costumes for her kids. She was a supporter of the Republican Party and volunteered for numerous campaigns. She especially enjoyed having family over for game nights and parties.
Susie is survived by her husband, James; children, Andrew Smith, Kelly (Nick) Enright, and Dustin (Lauren) Jensen; grandchildren, Lexi, Ann, Zoe, Eva, Addison, and Michael. Susie is further survived by her sister, Cathy Young; sister-in-law Donna Schmidt, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Fritz Schmidt, and her sister, Denise (Steven) Jennings.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Froedtert South in Pleasant Prairie and the Bristol Rescue Squad for their care during this time.
Services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 5:30 PM at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until the service and again after the service until 8 PM.
