Obituary
Roger Joseph Wolf, age 85, of Burlington, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2025.
Roger was born on October 12, 1939, in Loon Lake, Antioch, Illinois, the son of the late Fritz and Mae (Karvasek) Wolf. On June 25, 1960, at Wilmot United Methodist church, he was united in marriage to Donna R. Tilton, who preceded him in death on May 19, 2017.
Roger graduated from Antioch High School in 1957, after which he traveled to San Diego for recruit training in the United States Marine Corps. Following his honorable discharge, Roger started his career at Johns Manville as a pipe fitter and then became a certified Millwright after he went to work for the Chrysler Corporation in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he worked until he retired. He was a long-time member of Wilmot United Methodist Church. He also enjoyed being a Boy Scout Leader for his three sons, volunteering in the Westosha Lions club, and traveling with Donna to conventions with the Allenmande Square Dance Club.
Roger spent many weekends camping with his family and friends and enjoyed gathering around the campfire. During trips to Black River Falls, he taught his boys and grandsons the sport of deer hunting. At home, he always liked trying out new recipes in the kitchen and making his own new food creations, as well as his hobbies of woodworking, antique shopping, and collecting vintage firearms. After Donna was confined to a wheelchair, Roger dedicated many years to being her loving caregiver. He loved to see others smile when he shared his many “stories”, which will live on through his children and grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his sons: Mike (Betty) Wolf, Jeff (Wendy) Wolf; Papa to Collin, Logan, Madison, Fairen, Madalyn, Autumn, Justin (Payton) L’Abbe, Alyssa, and Kyle; Great Grandpa to Addison and Amelia. He was preceded in death by his son Joseph Wolf and brother Fred Wolf.
