Maryann Burkoth, 93, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Froedtert-Pleasant Prairie, surrounded by her loving family. (and probably still convinced the next scratch-off was the big one).
Maryann was born on December 22, 1932, in Chicago, the daughter of the late William & Anastacia (Rohde) Funck. She was educated in the schools of Chicago. Maryann married Anthony Burkoth on June 7, 1952, in Chicago. She was employed for many years as an educational Assistant for KUSD, a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, and an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Her hobbies included bowling, bingo, gardening, baking, puzzles, playing the lottery, and spending time playing games with family.
Survivors include her children, Sharon (Gary) Reau of AZ, Michael (Jackie) Burkoth of WI, Gary Burkoth of WI, Patti (Randy) Ollanketo of Pleasant Prairie, Karen (Patrick) McDonough of SC, Douglas (Shannon) Burkoth of Kenosha; brother, Robert Funck of Madison; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren, with 1 on the way. Maryann was preceded in death by her husband Anthony, son Thomas, daughter Susan, and brother Bill.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM, with funeral services to follow at 3:00 PM.
